The work to be performed consists, in general, of constructing concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk; reconstructing existing paved shoulders; constructing drainage improvements, including concrete drainage boxes and storm drain pipe; modifying existing median curb; installing median landscaping and irrigation system; modifying existing traffic signals, installing street lighting and a signal interconnect system. This section of roadway is within a dilapidated area in great need of rehabilitation. The improvements will not increased vehicle volume capacity. The project will beautify and enhance the level of service for the general public.
