The James Irrigation District (JID), proposes to construct and operate a groundwater recharge basin. The basin is approximately 1.5 miles northeast of the Town of San Joaquin. This site is approximately 266 acres in size and is adjacent to the District's Main Canal. The project is intended to improve JID's groundwater recharge capability and to enhance the ability to lessen the groundwater overdraft within the District.
