Document Description
Comprehensive update to the Lake County General Plan. Update includes all mandatory elements, except Housing Element which was updated in 2005. Update also includes 3 optional elements: Agricultural Resources, Geothermal and Water Resources. This update is primarily an update of policies, and will result in clear definition of Community Area Boundaries. Two revisions to the existing Lake County General Plan Map are proposed to add the industrial designation to property adjacent to Lampson Field Airport in Lakeport, and a site adjacent to Kelseyville. No other mapping changes are proposed. This update will provide for efficient, orderly future growth with emphasis on infill development within Community Boundaries using smart growth concepts.
