Document Description
The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) has approved a revised Removal Action Work Plan (RAW) for the ConocoPhillips petroleum coke (formely known as Tosco Coke Pile) site located near Bakersfield, Kern County, California. The RAW was prepared in accordance with the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Contingency Plan (NCP, the California Hazardous Substances Account Act and guidance applicable to removal actions produced by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) and DTSC. The revised RAW, dated September 25, 2006 will supplement the existing RAW (June 28, 2002) to include complete the removal action and require additional regulatory language and deed restriction requirements.
