The project would complete planning level engineering and technical investigations to support 10% design of the Alvarado 2nd Extension Project that would consist of a study to analyze the replacement of cast-iron pipes and provide redundant transmissio to the coastal zones of La Jolla and Pacific Beach. Furthermore, the proejct would analyze supply reliability; improve water quality; reduce energy waste at the Miramar CWA Pumpback facility; reduce peaking problems in the Miramar WTP service area; and provide supply flexibility (Alvarado vs. Miramar).
