The California Department of Public Health (Department) is a responsible agency for this project. The Department's Safe Drinking Water Proposition 84 Program is providing state funds for the project. The City of Dos Palos proposes a project that includes the replacement of the media in the surface water treatment plant (SWTP) filters and the installation of a temporary, unapproved filtration system that will be integrated with the existing SWTP. The city is under a boil water order until repairs to the existing SWTP are complete.
