Document Description
The Project consist of restoring the degraded, channelized Santa Rita Creek in an urbanized setting where it flows between an existing baseball field and residential housing for approximately 1025 feet. Methods used will incluide planting native riparian habitat where vegetation is currently lacking or is dominated by non-native annuals, restoring bankfull channel and activating floodplain hydraulics where the creek has been channelized to minimize downstream velocities and capture sediment, and stabilizing stream banks that are devoid of vegetation and are eroding.
