Document Description
The UC Davis Field Hockey Complex is a proposed new field to serve the Intercollegiate Athletics field hockey program. The project is planned on the UC Davis central campus northwest of the intersection of La Rue Road and Dairy Road. The new facility would include perimeter landscaping, fencing, overhead field lighting, concrete pad for spectator bleachers, and the field hockey playing surface.
The project requires a minor amendment to the 2003 Long Range Development Plan (LRDP) to address land use issues at the proposed site. The Regents approved the UC Davis 2003 LRDP following certification of an Environmental Impact Report in October 2003. A minor amendment to the 2003 LRDP is proposed as part of the project to change the project site from an Academic/Administrative High Density designation to a Physical Education/Intercollegiate Athletics, Recreation land use designation.
