Document Description
CDFW is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (SAA # 1600-2014-0078-R6) pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Coe to the project Applicant, the City of Palm Springs, represented by Mr. David Barakian, Palm Springs City Hall, 3200 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way, City of Palm Springs, State of California, 92262, Phone (760) 323-8253. The Applicant is proposing to widen Ramon Road between Landau Boulevard and San Luis Rey, widen the Ramon Road Bridge over the Whitewater River Stormwater Channel (Bridge Number 56C0287), perform seismic retrofitting of the bridge, and associated infrastructure development. Project activities include: extension of the existing bridge pylongs upstream and downstream to support the widened bridge deck, construction of scour countermeasures, and extension of the existing side slope revetment in the vicinity of the bridge. Scour countermeasures include the construction of concrete aprons under, upstream, and downstream of the bridge. Project construction will also include the construction of temporary dirt access ramps in the channel which will be removed upon project completion. A total of 3.47 acres of permanent impacts to jurisdictional streambed and total of 2.30 acres of temporary impacts to jurisdictional streambed will result from the construction activities.
