Document Description
Natural springs were altered to provide water for livestock prior to DPR acquisition. Water tanks, troughs, pipes, and debris are still present. The pipes interfere with natural spring flow and troughs accidentally trap and kill wildlife. The tanks are unsightly and visible in a scenic area of the park. Tanks, troughs, pipes, and debris will be removed and disposed of properly off site. Natural ponds (small basins at each spring) will be restored. Native wetland plants will be planted as needed.
