Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2018-0379-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Menston, LLC.
The project is limited to stabilizing approximately 31 linear feet of stream bank using soil bioengineering. Himalayan blackberry will be removed from an approximately 620 square-foot area and approximately 2 cubic yards of on-site soil will be used to fill in a beaver den (located at approximately ordinary high water) that collapsed during the 2017 storms. On top of the compacted soil layer, a series of 4 live willow pole brush layers and fabric encapsulated soil wrapped lifts will extend up the slope approximately 10 feet to top-of-bank at a slope of 1.5-2:1, to match preexisting conditions.
