Reasons for Exemption
The WCA has completed a preliminary review of the project in accordance with Section 15061 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines. Based on that review, the Environmental Coordinator finds that the proposed project qualifies for a Categorical Exemption pursuant to Section 15313 (Class 13: Acquisition of Lands and Wildlife Conservation Purposes) and Section 15325 (Class 25: Transfer of Ownership of Interest in Land to Preserve Existing Natural Conditions and Historical Resources) due to it being solely a land acquisition for open space preservation and plant and animal habitat preservation.
