Document Description
In August and September of 2020, a wildfire in Big Sur burned portions of Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, Limekiln State Park and John Little State Natural Reserve. Erosion and potential invasive non-native weed issues have occurred or are likely to occur because fire suppression equipment and personnel are likely to introduce non-native weeds into front and back country areas. Early detection, rapid response (EDRR) efforts are needed to detect and control weeds both known and unknown to the area.
