The project will extend the northbound acceleration lane on Hwy 101 from Spence Rd to Eckhartd Rd. The project is located completely within Caltrans ROW. The purpose of the planned aux lane is to improve acceleration for vehicles exiting from Spence Road, and to improve deceleration to Eckhartd Rd.
