Document Description
Construct pedestrian improvements at the Point Lobos State Natural Reserve entrance to upgrade the appearance and provide improve wayfinding information. Work will:
- Replace, in-kind, approximately 330 ft of split-rail fencing and install approximately 750 ft of new split-rail fencing to match existing;
- Perform tread maintenance work on 580 ft of existing trail and construct 50 ft of new trail to create an access between the existing restroom and South Plateau Trail;
- Fence off the existing restroom access and install a maintenance/vehicle gate;
- Install a raised crosswalk in the roadway;
- Slightly expand the area on the north side of kiosk and move the kiosk back slightly to create a visitor greeting area for Docents; and
- Revegetate newly closed off areas with native forest understory species.
