Document Description
The proposed project activities would include a genetic study to develop a definitive identification of the toad species that occupy the project area. Activities would include developing datasets for two categories of toads: 1) pure western toads and 2) toads found in the Deer Valley, Indian Valley, and Blue Lakes areas. Project deliverables include: 1) Scientific, peer-reviewed publication, 2) A tested genetic assay that can be used to differentiate Yosemite toads, western toads, and hybrids, and 3) a USFS findings report.
