Basin "DM" Expansion Project

The Basin “DM” Expansion Project (Project) location is on the southeast corner of Copper Avenue and Peach Avenue in Fresno County. The Project consists of acquiring approximately 3.2 acres of land directly south of FMFCD’s existing Basin “DM” property. Basin “DM” is within the City of Clovis Sphere of Influence. The Project is for the acquisition and construction of 3.2-acres to expand an existing 19.14-acre stormwater basin. The revised basin design accounts for updated “C-factors” used to determine urban runoff volume. Additionally, the revised design includes public right-of-way dedications to the City of Clovis, which further reduced the buildable area on the existing property. The expansion of Basin “DM” will result in 56,800 cubic yards of additional excavation and is expected to occur over a 10 to 20-year period.
