Document Description
The purpose of the Project is to replace aging wooden power poles and to maintain basic infrastructure needed to provide a reliable power supply to mission-critical facilities at Beale Air Force Base. The overall Project consists of replacing 16 poles (located in upland), installing 5 new poles, and removing 119 poles that will be replaced by trenching approximately 3.5 miles for underground lines within an existing roadbed. Forty-one poles that will be removed are located within jurisdictional vernal pools/seasonal wetlands. The Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board is issuing a CWA 401 Water Quality Certification for that activity.
