Document Description
The project is limited to the replacement of Lakeview Bridge over the Klamath River between the Bogus Creek confluence and Iron Gate Dam (Project). The new bridge will be constructed immediately downstream and in the same alignment as the existing bridge. The replacement bridge will be of similar size and dimensions as the existing bridge (approximately 276 feet long, including approaches, and 18 feet wide), and will serve the same purpose and capacity. The bridge will be supported by two in-water foundations (drilled shafts) and two upland abutments. Ancillary activities include earthwork to construct new approaches to the replacement bridge, replacement of existing gravel and asphalt surfacing at the approaches, storm water treatment best management practices, and post-project restoration. Construction of the project is expected to commence in early 2023 and to be completed in one in-water work season.
