Document Description
Pacific Gas and Electric is proposing to perform tree removal along an existing 12 kilovolt distribution line in the State Route (SR) 44 right-of-way (ROW) in Shasta County: post mile 22.4 to 23.5. As part of the proposed work, a total of 73 trees would be removed: 37 trees occur within the ROW; 36 trees are located immediately adjacent to the ROW. The purpose of the project is to maintain public safety and reduce fire risk. To facilitate maintenance activities, traffic control would be performed during the proposed work. Caltrans would issue an encroachment permit to allow for the proposed work to occur within State right-of-way.
