The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes an emergency investigation into a sinkhole using Dynamic Cone Penetration (DCP) subsurface soil testing under the northbound traveled lanes. The purpose of the project is to investigate the subsidence and prevent complete roadway failure. The need of this
