                Document Description

The project will remove two culverted road crossings and approximately 3,830 cubic yards of rock placed along an approximately 550 linear-foot reach of stream. In areas where a 2-foot rock keyway was constructed at the toe of the bank, the rock keyway will be removed, and soil wrapped lifts with native grass and shrub plantings will be
constructed. After rock removal, the remaining rock on the banks will be graded to a slope of 1.5:1 to the existing top of bank. In areas where the grading exposes vineyard fill (beyond the rock), the upper portion of the bank will be graded to a slope of 3:1 and will be seeded with native grass and covered with erosion control blanket. The project will also remove approximately 380 feet and 317 feet of service roads on the left and right streambank, respectively. These areas will be mulched and seeded with native grasses as well. Alluvial bedding material (graded mixture of cobbles and sand) will be wet jetted (i.e., sprayed using a high-powered hose) into the interstitial spaces between the rocks of the lower 3 to 4 feet of the rock bank to prevent fine sediment fill behind the rock from entering the stream. To mitigate for impacts to the stream, the project will restore with native plants an approximately 0.328-acre area along the banks of another stream on the property. The project will also construct a 40-feet long and 8-feet wide span bridge over the channel.
